Bask in the glory of the almighty love. The power the grace of his love compels you. Be a better person for it's simply in us all. He sent his son to save you. To rescue us all from ourselves. His love is never ending. It deserves better then keeping his old dusty book upon our shelves. Read his words of wisdom. In each sentence you can feel the touch of the love brought from on high the almighty, this love should be more then enough. So why do we run from it? Why do some look at it an sneer. Why roll your eyes when its presented to you when we know the words are strong. Is it to much a bother to listen when the preacher goes on and on? So you buck away from the system you want to do it your own way. You do your best to stay on the righteous path and ignore the steadfast believers as they tell you how you've strayed. What people fail to realize not everyone's faith is the same. You may feel the love of the almighty but you sense it in your own unique particular way. So I say these words onto you. The righteous and even some of ye damned. The Lord thy God the ALMIGHTY FATHER always awaits for you with wide open hands. Welcoming you into the light of joy and happy. Welcoming you into the eternal bliss. Though the path too him may seem skewed to some the end result doesn't have to be hit and miss. If you want to reach the promised land to spend eternity in glory at your end. The way to the gates is simple accept HIM as your savior with you whole heart not just as a social whim. Believe the word that's been spoken listen to the message that's been preached. When you do this simple gesture blessed glory can be reached. You may not believe what I'm saying. You may not always understand. You may feel I have no right to speak these words to you, maybe you never saw me as a saved and righteous man. Know that I may have my flaws and often this life I walk through while half awake, but my love for my Lord is honest and my faith in him you shall never take.

Humor and Blasphemy go hand and hand
This holiday brings so much to be mocked. We all know the true reason for the holiday (savior rises freeing mankind from original sin and eternal damnation), but why the bunnies the candy and all the damn eggs? Well to bring the cynical masses a chance to mock the righteous masses....

And mock they do. So much of this holiday has been bogged down with the silliness that in mass appeal Christmas is seen as more powerful a holiday. That's fine and all, but with no Easter we have no eternal life. A savior being born is great, but why neglect the day he initiate the Saving.
All that being said there are some creative and/or humorous views on the day floating out there. Zombie Jesus is a powerful image that I find interesting. I mean it should be upsetting, but dead for days, rises and in doing so saves the world. That's a pretty badass image that's hard to explain or capture, but a non flesh eating zombie saving the day, or all eternity as it were, is pretty freaking amazing and a SyFy movie waiting to happen. I'm just saying.

Is what it is

Nothing goes as planned, but plans are made and plans often are broken. You want to know what else can be broken quite easily? A skull. A skull bashed against a wall breaks quite easily. That's just the way the world works. One solid surface will always claim victory over hollow shells. Don't be that shell. Fill your mind with knowledge so your skull can be the rock that bashes through the barriers of injustice.

Eat drink and be merry really that's all you can do. Enjoy in the spoils of this world as they are the limited joys provided to you. Why waste time being unhappy, when happiness is all the rage. Why fight releasing your true nature, why lock up your desires in a self made cage. Now I'm not saying everyone should do as they feel. We all know what's right vs what's wrong. This advice is mainly focused on each of us being real. Recognize who you are instead of what others would wish you to be. Yeah things aren't always great in life, but if you are happy within yourself you could live in your own joyous land of me.

Play the hand that life deals you. Their is no need to fold. This isn't a game of winners and losers. This is just a game of whether you die young or die old. Without knowing your conclusion there proves no point in always taking the most cautious path. If you don't know your expiration date then none of us knows how long the thrill of the game can last. Life is full of ups and downs highs and lows ebbs and flows. So just come along for the ride enjoy the wave take in the show.

Spreading the word
No not the gospel. Those teachings will forever be spread no my children this is the teachings of the Sinfest.

The one and only Mr Ishida is a Comic and comic genius who has had me checking his site daily for the past few years no problem.

Sunday or as I call it "PRETTY COLOR PANEL DAY" is the most fun, but the weekday story lines are the backbone of his works.

I say check them out you won't be disappointed

Football on the brain
Due to the untimely demise of Mr. Al Davis I'm thinking of all the weirdness that has transpired thus far in the NFL. For me being an Eagles fan this first quarter of the football year has been especially hard. 1 - 3 with the talent on the team is just completely unacceptable. Last in the East and looking up at Washington YES Washington in first in the division. This is going to be one weird ass year.
Another intriguing story are the teams from my beloved SF Bay Area. The surprising 49ers (3-1) and the never say die Raiders (2-2). Both showing a lot more potential then most believed at the start of the season. Heck I'll admit I had the 9ers dead in the water before the first kick off. Shocking to ke is they are one OT loss away from being 4-0 along with the defending champ Packers and the finally Mighty Lions.

Speaking of the Lions this team has proven themselves to me and I hope come Monday Night facing Chicago the rest of the nation will be shown these aren't the Lions we've all gotten used to. These are the Lions who finally perform up to the level expected for years and years. This talented group should have been winning for awhile now, but finally everything is coming not sync.
The fun thing on the year to me is seeing a defending Superbowl champion actually performing like a champion. The team crowned the best of the last year has returned and have continued to show they are the best.
The ultimate thing that comes to mind while watching the season thus far is this, "When Peyton is in, what exactly does the offensive coordinator do?". This year the Peyton-less Colts are showing just how important he is, because without him they are looking like one of the worst in the league. So that being said it makes you wonder why the offensive coordinator had a job when Peyton was healthy. Talk about the easiest job in the league.
Anyway can't wait until Sunday to see how some of these story lines work out for the weeks ahead.

it begins..the year as I see it
Week 1 has begun.

Sunday is upon us and the 2011 season has begun. We all endured a lockout and this season being up in the air. All that is the past the season has begun the first game was a wild one too bad the Saints were unable to run (last play of the game on the 1 yard line. Your team is a passing team, but instead of doing what you do best a run straight up the middle is called. Of course it failed it was doomed from the beginning). Now my attention turns to my beloved Eagles as overhyped as they may be. The Rams aren't much of a challenge, but anything can happen in the NFL.
Eagles have the eyes of the world on them thanks to a crazy productive shortened offseason. Well the season is on and my team better be as well. Only time will tell, but I can't wait to find out for sure. So cheers to a good season and I certainly hope a successful Eagles' campaign.
Now for the fun...

NFC NORTH:
Vikings- though I Love Mcnabb this is the beginning of the ugly Viking end, honestly last year was but the woes will continue. I say now they will be last in the NFC North.
Bears- not sure on this one. It's not a bad team, but don't see them dominating as much as they used to. I'm guessing 8-8 plus or minus one game.
Lions- lots of big talk surrounding this team, but it's a little hard to digest. To get the Lions back to playoff form will take not just putting a good team on the field, but it will also take changing the entire culture of losing the team has established for so long. That being said this will be their year to do so. Think it's impossible? Well tell that to the Sean Payton era Saints!
Packers- yes they are the defending champs and it helps they won the opening game of the season, but let's be real. It's incredibly hard for a champ to repeat and though they won it was an ugly game with no defense shown which could have been easily won by the the Saints had they called the right play at the end. I'm saying 2nd in the division under the Lions.
NFC SOUTH:
Buccaneers- like the team and they are really good, but sadly they are in one tight division where it can be anyone's to win. Don't know but don't think this will be the year 2nd in the division and two games outside of the playoffs
Panthers- ok know how I said it's anyone's division to win? Yeah, I wasn't speaking of this crew of ragamuffins. Cam's first season will be a success but sadly rookie QBs get you last in this division.
Falcons- it's theirs to lose in my eyes. Yes the Bucs and Saints are both good but the Falcons will rule the south this season.
Saints- the first game showed me one thing. They will put up some amazing offensive stats this year, but the defense will lead them straight to third in the division.
NFC EAST:
Eagles- I've said it all in my above post. Not only will they take the division they will be in the fight to take the conference in the end.
Giants- one manning down leaves all eyes on little bro. Yes he has a ring but the spotlight burns.. Third in the east.
Redskins- why are they even bothering. Yes I may be bias as I'm a McNabb guy through and through, but Shanahan & son are going to run an already bad team even lower. What is this Major League? Are the redskins going to be headed LA way if they keep producing crap seasons?
Cowboys- I hate them I HATE them I HATE THEM!!! That being said last year was a fluke and this year they will return to the playoffs once again and a solid 2nd n the division.
NFC WEST:
Rams, Seahawks, Cardinals- this division doesn't matter, but this should be the year that anyone can return to the promised land especially since 7-9 can take the division. I'm seeing a three way tie for crapiness here so it's really a coin toss. Maybe all the promise of Kolb greatness may give the Cards the edge, but as I was never a follower of the Kolb I'm kind of doubting that.
49ers- they aren't even going to try this year. Harbaugh wants his college star and if you honestly think they planned on winning this year explain More ALEX SMITH. I mean really, haven't we all abandoned that ship yet?

What about what?
Emotions at times can not be controlled. They cannot be predicted nor kept. We all have meet that one person that has made us question everything we thought we knew when it comes to our emotions. Be it loving feelings or blinding hatred someone has rocked you fully to your being. 1 special someone who shaped who you are by making you rethink who you thought you were.
So i challenge you to think. Think what this person said or did that pushed you to those limits whatever it was they were. Remember the time that you found yourself serenading them outside their apartment door, or were you slashing their tires in hopes to get their attention. Was this a blinding obsession inducing experience or seething hatred leading to the threat of possible jail time. Whatever be the case remember and reminisce on the times... Back In the Day!

Happy Birthday to D
It's my birthday and I'll do what I want to
The day has arrived. 20 something is retired and 30 something done begun.

Happy to say I've made it, a few years back it was definitely touch and go. So the big number has arrived next milestone isn't for another decade, but we'll get to that coffin(40) when I come to it. Thirty years of life is an amazing milestone if you think of it. It means the teen years didn't do you in and the twenties didn't completely treat you wrong. 30 is all about survival, proof that the turbulence of life didn't do you in. I'm truly happy to say I'm a survivor. Happy Birthday to me so excuse me while I kiss the sky!

One Week to go
Today we celebrate the Superbowl. The epic clash between the best in the AFC vs the best in the NFC. We will crown a champion and praise them for their greatness at the game of FOOTBALL. Yes that is what we shall do today, next week however we celebrate something even greater. Something much more magical.... my 30th year of life. Now to some that may seem like nothing but to me its a glorious event. It means i survived the insanity that was my 20s and now am preparing for a brand new adventure called 30 something.
In all honesty the 20s went by pretty quick, but not quick enough in some regards. There were plenty of 20 something foolishness I wish had gone by in a flash, unfortunately those times seemed to drag on and on. Certainly hope I can avoid some of the same pitfalls i faced during the 20s in my 30s. So today I greet the world that has shaped me over these last 29 years 358 days with a smile and say bring on the future I'm most definitely ready for it.

Just a thought
Why is it easy like sunday morning? Whoever said Sunday is easy? I mean for me Sunday symbolizes the end of the weekend and the start of a brand new week. Technically Sunday is the labor pains giving way to bringing a new week to life. Doesn't sound all that fabulous does it,& you damn well know it ain't necessarily "Easy". Oh well, call me crazy if you must but it's just a thought no one said I have to be right
