High School drama

Remember the days. First day of freshman year. Four years of possibility laid out in front of you. You walk through the halls unsure unaware if you'd find acceptance or be relegated to the outskirts the outside looking in at all the kids who you had wished you would become.

Walking from your home room to algebra you saw something very intriguing in the hall. It was your ultimate fear placed on poster board the BACK to SCHOOL dance was fast approaching. Every one in school would be attending and you couldn't afford to miss it, but should you actually brave the crowd and go? First High School dance the ultimate fork in the road of our early teens. That dance can lead to utter humiliation ultimate elation or there is always the third option. A humdrum night which means you may just live the under the radar life for the following four years. I sadly had the third, which is neither bad nor good it is what it is.
1995 freshman year De La Salle high school. Me and a jr high friend attend the dance together which I still don't understand why I mean I guess she was being my pity date, but how is it pity if I didn't even like her like that? Anyway we arrive separately take like 1 picture she goes off with her girls I go off with my homies and I don't remember us spending another moment together for the rest of the night. The only thing I remember positive about the night is one of the cooler guys from my class was so jealous I was going with her. He thought she was hot so in his eyes I was the man, which is a feeling I've never had before and I must say I enjoyed it. So I must say thanks to Katy for giving that one brief moment of coolness, trust me it was never felt again in the next four years. Who knows if I had stayed in DLS I might have achieved that level of greatness again but my evil parental units snatched me away after one year and shipped me off to craptastic Bishop O'Dowd (not a bad school, but anytime you enter a new school sophomore year and not knowing a single soul you are destined to have horrible memories of the place).
Now O'Dowd may have been better remembered if I had been better at reading women. Not knowing a soul I had a very cute classmate basically begging me to attend the very same start of the year dance I had no problem attending my freshman year, but this was a new school with new kids and I was so far on the outside and completely oblivious to the fact the girl obviously liked me I just didn't bother to go. Of course this blew my shot at an early high school relationship (which are so key to dating life survival) and somewhat tainted the only friendship I had formed at the moment. Let's just say the remaining three years becoming a blur of blown opportunities and other random anomalies. So ya see kids that first dance can set up so much more then learning how to cope in the crowd, it really is important to prepare you for the years ahead. Trust Frosh & Soph years are so important to establish early successes or you will be in for a world full of pain.
After relieving these memories I can only say one thing.
THANK GOD I'M 30!

Natural feelings

Beauty in nature and all the wonders it holds. Simply looking at these shots bring forth the power of nature. I am feeling so much more "Aquarians/Earth Child" the older I get. So I love having friends with an incredible eye for the world that surrounds us. I've known this lady forever and all I can say is she rocks at what she does.

they said what?!?!?!

"There maybe a limited amount of perfect breasts in this world but why should I allow the memory of mine be tainted once gravity gets a hold onto them?" - KD

"ya know... I've always said that when a person is right there on the edge of completely giving up god sends an angel to remind us why we're here...." - WC

"Ja Rule is going to jail for gun charges... i would of thought it would have been for MUUUUURRRRDDDDDDAAAAA" - BK

"What's that you say, Bed? Blanket is being mean to you again? Sounds like I need to separate you two. Good night..." - DH

"92% of Americans celebrate Christmas. That's 7% more than Americans who are Christian. So, if there ever was a war on Christmas, it's over. Christmas won" - ER

Pretty eventful week for the people in my life. As you can see I surround myself with an odd bunch. Some wise & deep others funny & insightful; I work hard to avoid the shallow and fake, but when you get right down to it I'm sure I have enough of those surrounding me as well. It has taken nearly 3 decades of living to accept this fact: I'm a SOCIAL BUTTERFLY! Yeah that's right I crave people around me all the time. All types of folks with all kinds of different backgrounds. Yes in my younger days I would chalk these feelings up to wanting to be a writer and needing the people i drew around me simply as case studies. You know real life characters to inspire my fictional ones, but as the years have past I have come to realize there is so much more to it then that.
No these surrounding souls are all part of a bigger picture of my life. Not just examples of what could be, but amazing proof of the amazing life that IS. No matter what you think of the people you encounter day to day know this "You make a difference in every life in some way no matter how small". As corny as that may sound to you I truly do believe in that fact. There is nothing further from the truth then that. You've heard of the butterfly effect? Well your day to day interactions with people BIG or SMALL is the tsunami of the soul the butterfly welled up. With each passing glimpse, cordial hello, or hand shake or hug changes were made whether you know it or not. All this being said is simply summed up as this. WE ALL MATTER to SOMEONE SOMEWHERE. Now having this bit of info is a great thing to have. No matter how down you can get or how alone you may feel at any given point just think on that fact. YOU MATTER and trust me all will become right.

This is the crew

Being bad ass is what they do. So all these memories of good times & bad have come flooding back. It's amazing  to me this pic was taken like a decade ago, well round about that much time. These are some of the greatest people in the world and they'll never know how much they meant & still mean to me.

No idea if any of my good friends read this and its late and I'm feeling crazy so I think I'm just gonna name everyone I call friend. No offense if I don't name you I'm just listening people until my fingers get tired. I shall call thee friend:

Nicole Charles Ed Tom Kelly Sean El Elly Josh  Stacey Eric Jessica Jessica Jessica (yes I know plenty of Jessicas but trust this isn't the biggest name group) Nikole Jeremy Steve Stefan Brian Sherlin Sabrina Drew Dria Tony Toni Antonio Anthony (something about this name and the central valley I'll just never understand) Brooke Andie Angela Julia Julie Amanda Chris Chris Chris Chris Chris Kristina Kristie ( I have made my quota of chrises in this lifetime) Vanessa Vanessa Darin Isabel Shawna Anabel Alicia Wendy Daniela Patricia Whitney Tricia Miles Marc Mark Mary Krystal Karly Sandy Mike Mike Omar Sarah (and no not the hell bitch some of you were thinking of right then) Kristen Rob Tristen Marie..... and there are plenty more but my thumbs are numb

Ok not numb enough to let ya'll know I'm ready to be the friend I once was and more. I mean you realize I haven't seen some of you in 6 years.  To those of you this applies to we are in need of some serious Face Time.
