Been putting some serious thought into. Have no problem with religion. Religion and faith are good things, but how people go about praising I often call into question. Mainly the fact that for most praising their god/savior/healer/guide becomes a chore the older one gets. At least until true OLD AGE hits then the faith is rejuvenated as one comes to accept how close they are coming to the end of their days on this mortal plain. So what of these middle years? I think its quite simple. Praise like you did in childhood.
Now I know that's hard for some to hear. Most adults often discount childhood beliefs as uninformed and juvenile leanings based on what parents taught, and at times that can be true. But like most things in life you'd be pretty ignorant to lump everything into one category. I think of my childhood, I was raised in religious schools IN SPITE of my parents lack of visible faith. Father has never been a church goer and mom didn't become truly involved in church until I was in high school. So why send me to private christian school since the start of schooling? Better education has always been the answer I've been given. Well during that education I learned a lot about myself, my world, and my faith. Every week having a school wide praise session was the most natural thing to me. It felt more real then sitting in church with a preacher spouting the gospels at me. I spent weeks being TAUGHT the gospels then singing songs of praise before weekends at home away from church school. Some find that extreme but I found it refreshing. It became a part of my life. Now I'm not saying all religious school kids had the same experience as me. Some hated every moment others LOVED the lessons a little too much (sorry, I love the bible I love the lord I love being taught but i HATE being told contradicting things based on teachers prejudices. BE A FISHER OF MEN we were taught but then also taught not to associate with GAYS, NON BELIEVERS, and Any other SEEDY INDIVIDUALS). I feel my life experiences combined with church school lead to the proper teachings of what faith SHOULD BE in my eyes. I don't go to church every week because frankly my church experience was never great. (A room full of people with holier then thou attitudes, a preacher driving a luxury vehicle when the church is falling apart around him, being asked to give all of what little you have to the church not to necessarily help others in the world but make the church more comfortable while people outside the doors struggle and suffer).
I ask of you this. Find a child. Ask them what they believe. Children all have core beliefs even if they are too young to understand what they really are. I'm sure the most prevalent idea you'll hear is we are just suppose to be nice to each other. That gets lost in a lot of religious teaching. As we grow older the idea of kindness towards ALL goes away. You shake your head, but I can point out many instances where your holy niceness fades into the background, especially when faced with something you don't understand and refuse to accept. So I want to go back to the days when HE HAD THE WHOLE WORLD IN HIS HAND when JESUS LOVES ME THIS I KNOW FOR THE BIBLE TOLD ME SO to the days of love and peace for all and as long as you love the world and love your God that's the only thing you needed to know and understand for eternal happiness.

Sega once and for all

Flashback time
Start of the new millennia and I'm more addicted to my seta then ever. I'm a proud member of the dreamcast family and I spend my day on two things... Soul Calibur and JET GRIND RADIO. Well today Sega has teased me with the blast from my not so distant past. Jet Grind Radio will be available again fairly soon and whatever it takes I'll be playing it once more. Oh how I miss my dreamcast and my host of overlooked games. If only I hadn't ditched it during a rough point in my life. Oh for the love of game if only I had remained strong.

High School drama
Remember the days. First day of freshman year. Four years of possibility laid out in front of you. You walk through the halls unsure unaware if you'd find acceptance or be relegated to the outskirts the outside looking in at all the kids who you had wished you would become.

Walking from your home room to algebra you saw something very intriguing in the hall. It was your ultimate fear placed on poster board the BACK to SCHOOL dance was fast approaching. Every one in school would be attending and you couldn't afford to miss it, but should you actually brave the crowd and go? First High School dance the ultimate fork in the road of our early teens. That dance can lead to utter humiliation ultimate elation or there is always the third option. A humdrum night which means you may just live the under the radar life for the following four years. I sadly had the third, which is neither bad nor good it is what it is.
1995 freshman year De La Salle high school. Me and a jr high friend attend the dance together which I still don't understand why I mean I guess she was being my pity date, but how is it pity if I didn't even like her like that? Anyway we arrive separately take like 1 picture she goes off with her girls I go off with my homies and I don't remember us spending another moment together for the rest of the night. The only thing I remember positive about the night is one of the cooler guys from my class was so jealous I was going with her. He thought she was hot so in his eyes I was the man, which is a feeling I've never had before and I must say I enjoyed it. So I must say thanks to Katy for giving that one brief moment of coolness, trust me it was never felt again in the next four years. Who knows if I had stayed in DLS I might have achieved that level of greatness again but my evil parental units snatched me away after one year and shipped me off to craptastic Bishop O'Dowd (not a bad school, but anytime you enter a new school sophomore year and not knowing a single soul you are destined to have horrible memories of the place).
Now O'Dowd may have been better remembered if I had been better at reading women. Not knowing a soul I had a very cute classmate basically begging me to attend the very same start of the year dance I had no problem attending my freshman year, but this was a new school with new kids and I was so far on the outside and completely oblivious to the fact the girl obviously liked me I just didn't bother to go. Of course this blew my shot at an early high school relationship (which are so key to dating life survival) and somewhat tainted the only friendship I had formed at the moment. Let's just say the remaining three years becoming a blur of blown opportunities and other random anomalies. So ya see kids that first dance can set up so much more then learning how to cope in the crowd, it really is important to prepare you for the years ahead. Trust Frosh & Soph years are so important to establish early successes or you will be in for a world full of pain.
After relieving these memories I can only say one thing.
THANK GOD I'M 30!

Still going strong
20+ years and still going strong.

Been watching weekly, reading behind the scenes stories and each day is as strong as the last. It has been a lifelong passion a love for sports entertainment, and I refuse to be ashamed. Ok maybe a little, but hey what can I say, I just love the product. I remember the golden era of WWF wrestling. I remember being a little Hulk-a-maniac then a little warrior and finally a follower of King Macho Man. I remember the day I learned it was fake (went to a live show at the Oakland coliseum and saw Ravishing Rick Rude succumb to the punches of Jake the Snake though I could clearly see none had ever landed). I remember the days when the story lines where thought out, the company took time to establish stars and nothing was to big to attempt to pull off. Now the eighties product was corny, but the Nineties was the Golden Era and it simply broke down to one fact, Competition breeds excellence.
That being said the deaths of ECW and WCW, hell even the sorry product that was JCW, have in turned paved the way to the demise of the WWE. Right now the only hope for pro wrestlings future falls to the final two factions, the WWE and TNA, to right their ships and bring a better product to American television then they have thus far. Same stars across two different companies doing the same story lines has lost the interest of the average fan. Frankly I'm not an average fan so I shall endure, but it's sad to see so many of my comrades falling off. However sad it seems watching the fan base diminish I can honestly say I am not the least surprised.

Long gone are the glory days for the WWE, but there are gins that maybe just maybe a change is going to come. A new storyline involving new people in charge and new changes necessary changes are being alluded to. The return of the tag team, a hopeful reemergence of skilled Female wrestlers, and the opportunity for the old school to finally give way to the next generation wrestlers. Maybe just Maybe Cena will stop being the all or nothing superstar for the company. Maybe just maybe the people running the show can and will recognize there is some serious underused talents cluttering the locker room just dying to put on a great show. Love it or hate it that's what it's all about, all the blood sweat and tears just to put on the best damn show possible. All the haters who care about the fact it's scripted can just drop it, a show is a show is a show and that's all there is to it.
