Internet Addiction on the rise

Now I may not have STATISTICS or FIGURES or any medical knowledge whatsoever, but dammit the increasing numbers of my Facebook friends who seem to be on at least as much as me tells a different story. As the economy plummets to the ground like a burning cinder from the heavens above more and more people have found themselves spending all their new found free time on the World Wide Web. Yes that's right bad economy lack of work and shitty existences are leading to a flourish in web activity. It's not all the Economy's fault mind you. With the growth of the "Smart phone" industry the web is becoming readily available to a growing number of people, and of course the darling of said industry is the iPhone and its oh so many apps. I mean you can do any and everything on the damn iPhone as their catchy little saying goes there always seems to be an "APP" for that. Sad thing is every other smart phone on the market is trying to follow suit. Its already bad enough we are slowly all learning to live on and/or through our phone. Soon enough we will be able to not only order our food while setting up our guest list planning out what music to play in the background program our DVR to record the programs we are going to miss during dinner and plan an escape route and proper excuse for the inevitable disaster that will happen when the wife and the girlfriend meet at said dinner party. Yes this is the world we are living it. The future is now and it is full of compu-zombies. Living off the mush social networking and celebrity news is turning our brains into. I am both disgusted and intrigued by this rapidly approaching future. I'm not warning you for what is years to come I'm talking about the disaster that is your life in the up coming weeks. Heed my warning friends the world around us is a frightening place full of perils and craziness, but hey lets enjoy the ride while we can.
