Break room BS

Today tomorrow & anywhere in between, nothing you say or do changes the day to day existence of those around you. Most things worth saying are rarely said whereas things to keep to yourselves are often spoken aloud. It's just a fact of life that the worst things possible rarely happen but the next to worse always happen. Life is full of surprises yet it often repeats itself so how are we always surprised? Just a little food for thought I suppose.

Work thoughts

Figured it's time to try out my work rants from my new location. Winco has been just fine to me, lots of memories of fun deli days of yore. One big memory floods to my brain though. I really don't want to do this for life. Nothing against those who do, but even still this just isn't for me in any kind of long term way. That being said, where do I go from here?

So it is

Enjoying this new OS for my iPad. Another success feather in the cap of Apple. It seems crazy how far tech has advanced in a decade ya know. Well as a junky of all things new I must say I'm pleased with where we are at and I'm anxiously waiting to see where we will go next. Back to the moon? Naw that's too boring for modern man!

Speaking Freely

So what can be said? Speaking my mind comes naturally, but never out loud. I speak through my fingers as I type what I feel. I express using the written word in my texts that's how I keep it really REAL. Life is never easy but bottled up emotions keep things hard. Express for self expression do what you must to let them all see who you are. So always stay true and never forget to speak. With vocals With words In writing In song let your story ring out. Let everyone around get a chance to know who you really are. May they never miss out on the awesome uniqueness that is YOU.

Power On

The weight of the world on his shoulders, the struggle never quits. He keeps us steady upright and proper all the while no thanks given no praise bestowed. Why does he do it? No one truly knows, most in his situation would drop the giant ball that is this existence. Why do we pile on, adding more to this poor man's burden? Cuz we are evil bastards that's why.

Ready for the next challenge to move to grow. Work has begun and I can't wait to get into the full swing of things. Have a family to take care of and I refuse to drop the ball. If I prove myself and make real nice I can try and move up through the ranks. Who knows I maybe dragged back out to Vegas when they open the new store in 2012 but that's a distant idea for now. With that said on to DAY 2 and a much better tomorrow.

The circle seems to be closing

It May seem a bit crazy for me to say,  but a lot of people seem to be dropping lately. I mean yes I know people are born and die everyday, but I'm just seeing a wave a death hitting us. Everywhere I turn another death is being reported. Another life lost. Another mind vanquished. Yes it's all part of the grand plan, but what if the plan isn't all that it seems? We shall never know what is truly intended for us. Hell, it doesn't say anywhere that end the end we will even find out what we were meant to do. Frankly we just may never know.
Honestly death isn't what frightens me at night, its the never knowing what could have been. Now we all fear the unknown, but this bit of unknown goes on unspoken. Think about all the millions of directions your life could have taken. Everyday is filled with choices that shape and change our existence. So ever wonder what might have been had a few just a few different choices had been made. Think about this, as few as 4 difference choices made by an individual can radically shape how said person would end up. So I'm saying One or Two early choices may be the deciding factor of whether you will be Rich or Poor and also help shape whether you die at 50 or 90. Life is all about choices, so I ask you are you happy with the choices you have made?

Football on the brain

Due to the untimely demise of Mr. Al Davis I'm thinking of all the weirdness that has transpired thus far in the NFL. For me being an Eagles fan this first quarter of the football year has been especially hard. 1 - 3 with the talent on the team is just completely unacceptable. Last in the East and looking up at Washington YES Washington in first in the division. This is going to be one weird ass year.
Another intriguing story are the teams from my beloved SF Bay Area. The surprising 49ers (3-1) and the never say die Raiders (2-2). Both showing a lot more potential then most believed at the start of the season. Heck I'll admit I had the 9ers dead in the water before the first kick off. Shocking to ke is they are one OT loss away from being 4-0 along with the defending champ Packers and the finally Mighty Lions.

Speaking of the Lions this team has proven themselves to me and I hope come Monday Night facing Chicago the rest of the nation will be shown these aren't the Lions we've all gotten used to. These are the Lions who finally perform up to the level expected for years and years. This talented group should have been winning for awhile now, but finally everything is coming not sync.
The fun thing on the year to me is seeing a defending Superbowl champion actually performing like a champion. The team crowned the best of the last year has returned and have continued to show they are the best.
The ultimate thing that comes to mind while watching the season thus far is this, "When Peyton is in, what exactly does the offensive coordinator do?". This year the Peyton-less Colts are showing just how important he is, because without him they are looking like one of the worst in the league. So that being said it makes you wonder why the offensive coordinator had a job when Peyton was healthy. Talk about the easiest job in the league.
Anyway can't wait until Sunday to see how some of these story lines work out for the weeks ahead.

Jobs 1955-2011

You shall never be forgotten...

Today we have lost a great innovator a modern marvel of technology AND marketing. Apple went from being the company Gates betrayed and was ready to kill to the company behind some of the best tech in history. The letter i has an entire new meaning thanks to Steve Jobs. iPhone iPad iPod iOS are the leaders in our modern day activities and though it took a large team to create it took 1 mind to envision. Thank you Steve for all you have brought to the world and we hope you have found peace amongst the greats. Your vision lives on and with every swipe of a finger to a screen your Legend will live on.

$£¥€

Back at it in the morning. Excited to finally be earning again, but nervous of what's to come. Not sure what to expect and have no clue as to the people I will meet. It's been awhile since my last grocery store crew and I can only hope this new batch of people will be as interesting, fun and genuine as the last. Not too worried have always been blessed with majority awesome co workers just hope to keep up that trend. Come 8am I should hopefully find out all the good and the bad which is to come in this new position.
